  • Agape Feast

Announced by Sheri Darrough on Jan 09 2015

2014 has come to a close and 2015 has begun. There is a fundamental principle of spirituality. It’s found in Matthew 6:33: "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these
things will be added to you." To seek first. To make God first. To set Him before anything else. This is where success, provision, and direction are found. We want to begin 2015 right, so on
January 16, starting at 6:30pm, we want to have a special Agape Feast where we will be consecrating ourselves collectively to God. A delicious dinner, candle-light communion, and a special message will take place in the Fireside Hall. Please join us.

  • Anointing Service

Announced by Sheri Darrough on Jan 09 2015

Did you know that ancient shepherds used to anoint their sheep with oil? When these animals were pestered by insects, the oil would serve to protect their bodies from bites and act as a soothing agent for bites. The Bible calls for God's people to be anointed. In times of crisis, in times of sickness, of trials, of anything that might be a barrier in their life, this act of faith should be put into
practice. The oil, symbolic of the Holy Spirit, is placed on the believer's head as an affirmation of the promise of God's help. Miracles still happen and if you need one, let us know.

On January 17, after Sabbath potluck, the Pastoral staff, Elders, and Prayer Team will spend time anointing people who are in need. If you need mighty help, God can answer prayers. Please join us if that’s you. The Anointing Service will be held in the Junior Room. If you have additional questions, please contact the pastors or Prayer Ministries coordinator, Sherri Nelson.

  • Ten Days of Prayer

Announced by Sheri Darrough on Jan 06 2015

    Ten Days of Prayer!
    January 7-16
“The promise is made on condition that the united prayers of the church are offered, and in answer to these prayers there may be expected a power greater than that which comes from private prayer. The power given will be in proportionate to the unity of the members and their love of God and for one another.”  Letters 32, 1903, p 5 to Brother and Sister Farnsworth, January 28, 1903, 1903, White Estates, Washington D. C.

God has worked quickly to bring the Ten Days of Prayer event together for our church. Thus, we know that God has great blessings in store for His People! Please clear your schedule from Wednesday, January 7-Friday, January 16. We will meet nightly at the church in the Youth Room from 7-8 pm!

Please don’t miss the blessing that God has for you! Our Church family along with our Seventh-day Adventist brothers and sisters in over 100 countries around the world will be uniting in prayer for 10 days as the disciples did in the upper room in Acts 1:12-14.

We have four (4) prayer locations available that you can attend. Each location will be meeting nightly from 7-8 pm. You only need to attend one location. Please try to attend the same location and clear your schedule so you can attend all 10 nights if possible. The last night, Friday, January 16th will be at the church for our agape feast. The following day, we will have the anointing service at 2:30 pm.

We promise that the prayer time will be dynamic and engaging. The prayers will be short to allow time for everyone to be engaged and able to pray. Along with praying for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit and nightly topics, we will be praying for our children, friends and a closer walk with the Lord. We are thankful for the families who are opening up their homes for the 10 days of prayer so as to make it more convenient for our families to pray together.

The church is also one of the locations and we will meet in the Youth room nightly from 7-8 pm. The prayer time will end at sharply at 8 pm.

Please call the church office at 538-1024 for the listing of the home locations.
