Anointing Service
Did you know that ancient shepherds used to anoint their sheep with oil? When these animals were pestered by insects, the oil would serve to protect their bodies from bites and act as a soothing agent for bites. The Bible calls for God's people to be anointed. In times of crisis, in times of sickness, of trials, of anything that might be a barrier in their life, this act of faith should be put into
practice. The oil, symbolic of the Holy Spirit, is placed on the believer's head as an affirmation of the promise of God's help. Miracles still happen and if you need one, let us know.
On January 17, after Sabbath potluck, the Pastoral staff, Elders, and Prayer Team will spend time anointing people who are in need. If you need mighty help, God can answer prayers. Please join us if that’s you. The Anointing Service will be held in the Junior Room. If you have additional questions, please contact the pastors or Prayer Ministries coordinator, Sherri Nelson.
